基礎科学や数学などに対してしばしば浴びせられる暴言なのだが、梶田先生にこれをやらかしたタレントがいたらしい。
しかし、ノーベル賞科学者にインタビューするのに、事前に何も調べてなかったというのがテレビの水準を表している。今梶田先生が取り組んでいるのが重力波望遠鏡であることも、師匠の小柴先生が「何の役にも立ちません」と言ったことも調べてなかったということだもんな。（一般の人が知らないのはしょうがない。が、インタビューするのは「一般の人」じゃない）

なんだけれど、この続きで当初反対していた議員が納得して金を出すのに同意する、というところまで含めての「いい話」。
ただ一つ不思議なのが、なぜ梶田先生はこの質問に備えていなかったのか？というところ。
スーパーカミオカンデもレンホー仕分けの被害を受けていて、梶田先生がそのことを知らないとは思えないんだよね。
